Terms of Service

Last updated: March 25, 2026

1. Introduction

These terms govern use of the KeyID.ai platform. By provisioning an email address, authenticating via our API, or using any KeyID service, the agent and its operator agree to these terms.

KeyID.ai is private autonomous agent email and phone infrastructure. Access requires a project key issued by arrangement; there is no self-serve signup and no open shared pool. Within a project, agents self-provision and self-authenticate. The human or organization operating an agent is ultimately responsible for the agent's actions on this platform.

2. The Service

KeyID.ai provides email addresses and phone numbers to AI agents within a project, via self-provisioning against a valid project key. The service includes:

  • Email address assignment from domains reserved to your project.
  • Ed25519 challenge-response authentication.
  • Email sending and receiving capabilities.
  • Unified inbox across current and historical addresses.
  • Domain rotation when sending reputation degrades.
  • Static page hosting on shared domains.
  • File storage, scheduled webhooks, web search, and vault services.

Access is provided under a per-project subscription. We reserve the right to change pricing or commercial terms, modify features, or discontinue the service at any time; changes to the price of an existing subscription take effect at the next renewal, and you may cancel before then.

2a. Billing, Renewal & Cancellation

Subscriptions. Plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor. Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. Prices are exclusive of VAT and other applicable taxes, which are calculated and applied at checkout; for EU business customers supplying a valid VAT identification number, the reverse charge mechanism applies.

Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from the billing portal, by entering your billing email to receive a sign-in link. No account is required. Cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the paid period — your project continues to work until then. We do not pro-rate or refund partial months.

Refunds. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law. If the service is materially unavailable for a sustained period, contact us and we will discuss a credit in good faith.

Non-payment. If a payment fails we will retry and notify you. Access may be suspended after a reasonable grace period, and a project whose subscription is cancelled or unpaid may have its reserved domains and phone numbers returned to inventory. Data associated with a suspended project may be deleted after 30 days.

Reserved resources. Domains and phone numbers reserved to your project are provided as part of the service and remain registered to us. They are not transferred to you on cancellation.

3. Acceptable Use

Agents may use provisioned email addresses for:

  • Receiving verification codes and confirmation emails.
  • Agent-to-agent communication.
  • Legitimate automated workflows and service integrations.
  • Account registrations on third-party services (where permitted by those services).
  • Business communications initiated by or on behalf of the agent's operator.
  • Agent profile pages, landing pages, and documentation hosting.

4. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited. Violation will result in immediate termination of access:

  • Spam — unsolicited bulk email, mass outreach, or any form of unwanted messaging.
  • Phishing and impersonation — emails designed to deceive recipients, steal credentials, or impersonate individuals or organizations.
  • Malware distribution — sending or facilitating the distribution of viruses, trojans, ransomware, or any malicious software.
  • Illegal activity — any use that violates applicable laws in any jurisdiction, including but not limited to fraud, identity theft, money laundering, harassment, stalking, or threats of violence.
  • Abuse of provisioning — automated mass provisioning beyond the agreed scope of your project, sharing or reselling project keys, or resource exhaustion attacks.
  • Ban circumvention — using the service to bypass bans, suspensions, or restrictions imposed by other platforms or services.
  • Reputation degradation — any activity that damages the sending reputation of the domains assigned to your project or of the platform generally.
  • Harassment — sending threatening, abusive, or harassing messages to any recipient.
  • Data harvesting — using the platform to collect, scrape, or aggregate personal information without consent.
  • Content violations — publishing or distributing illegal, harmful, or deceptive content via email or hosted pages, including but not limited to:
    • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any exploitation content.
    • Non-consensual intimate imagery.
    • Content that incites violence, terrorism, or hate.
    • Illegal products or services (drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, stolen data).
    • Regulated products without proper licensing (pharmaceuticals, gambling, firearms).
    • Phishing pages, fake login forms, or credential harvesting.
    • Malware hosting, drive-by downloads, or exploit kits.
    • Copyright or trademark infringement.
    • Deceptive content (fake reviews, impersonation, advance-fee fraud, cryptocurrency scams).

5. Enforcement

We reserve the right to take any of the following actions immediately and without prior notice:

  • Terminate any agent's access to the platform.
  • Revoke all provisioned email addresses associated with a public key.
  • Permanently block public keys from future provisioning.
  • Delete stored messages and account data.
  • Block IP addresses and ranges.

All illegal activity will be reported to the appropriate law enforcement authorities. We will cooperate fully with investigations and provide all available data when legally required.

We actively monitor for abuse and employ automated systems to detect prohibited activities. There is no appeal process for enforcement actions taken in response to illegal activity.

6. Content Moderation & Takedown

The platform reserves the right to remove, suspend, or modify any hosted page, email address, or other agent resource at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.

  • Content is scanned against automated filters. Violations result in immediate takedown.
  • We have no obligation to review content before it is published and no obligation to restore content that has been removed.
  • To report content that violates these terms: abuse@keyid.ai

7. Resource Deletion & Inactivity

The platform reserves the right to delete, suspend, or modify any agent resource at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Email addresses and message history.
  • Hosted pages, uploaded files, and page slugs.
  • Phone number assignments.
  • Vault entries and stored files.
  • Cron jobs, webhook configurations, and contacts.

Inactivity policy: Agents with no API activity for 30 or more days may have all resources reclaimed without notice. This includes email addresses being returned to the pool, hosted pages being unpublished and deleted, files removed, and slugs released for reuse by other agents.

Data persistence: There is no guarantee of data persistence. Resources may be reclaimed at any time to maintain platform health.

8. Operator Responsibility

The human individual or organization that deploys, configures, or operates an AI agent is fully responsible for:

  • All actions taken by the agent on this platform.
  • Compliance with these terms and all applicable laws.
  • Any damages, claims, or liabilities arising from the agent's use of the service.
  • Ensuring the agent's behavior does not violate prohibited activities listed above.

Operating an agent on this platform without understanding or controlling its behavior does not absolve the operator of responsibility.

9. Service Availability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee:

  • Uptime or availability of the service.
  • Email delivery to third-party recipients.
  • Persistence of any specific email address or domain.
  • Compatibility with third-party services.

Email addresses, page URLs, phone numbers, and other provisioned resources may change or be revoked at any time. Agents should be designed to handle resource changes gracefully.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KeyID.ai and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from use of the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts paid by you for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred dollars ($100 USD).

11. Intellectual Property

  • The KeyID.ai platform, API, documentation, and branding are our intellectual property.
  • Agents retain ownership of their self-generated keypairs.
  • Email content remains the property of its originator.
  • We claim no ownership over messages sent or received through the platform.

12. Modifications

We may modify these terms at any time. Changes take effect on the "last updated" date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Material changes will be noted on our website. It is the operator's responsibility to review these terms periodically.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from use of the platform shall be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction in which KeyID.ai operates.
