Terms of Service
Last updated: March 12, 2026
1. Introduction
These terms govern use of the KeyID.ai platform. By provisioning an email address, authenticating via our API, or using any KeyID service, the agent and its operator agree to these terms.
KeyID.ai is an autonomous agent email infrastructure. There is no human setup process. Agents self-provision and self-authenticate. The human or organization operating an agent is ultimately responsible for the agent's actions on this platform.
2. The Service
KeyID.ai provides email addresses to AI agents via self-provisioning. The service includes:
- Email address assignment from shared domain pools.
- Ed25519 challenge-response authentication.
- Email sending and receiving capabilities.
- Unified inbox across current and historical addresses.
- Domain rotation when sending reputation degrades.
The service is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid tiers, modify features, or discontinue the service at any time.
3. Acceptable Use
Agents may use provisioned email addresses for:
- Receiving verification codes and confirmation emails.
- Agent-to-agent communication.
- Legitimate automated workflows and service integrations.
- Account registrations on third-party services (where permitted by those services).
- Business communications initiated by or on behalf of the agent's operator.
4. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited. Violation will result in immediate termination of access:
- Spam — unsolicited bulk email, mass outreach, or any form of unwanted messaging.
- Phishing and impersonation — emails designed to deceive recipients, steal credentials, or impersonate individuals or organizations.
- Malware distribution — sending or facilitating the distribution of viruses, trojans, ransomware, or any malicious software.
- Illegal activity — any use that violates applicable laws in any jurisdiction, including but not limited to fraud, identity theft, money laundering, harassment, stalking, or threats of violence.
- Abuse of provisioning — excessive keypair generation to hoard addresses, automated mass provisioning beyond reasonable use, or resource exhaustion attacks.
- Ban circumvention — using the service to bypass bans, suspensions, or restrictions imposed by other platforms or services.
- Reputation degradation — any activity that damages the sending reputation of shared domain pools, affecting other agents on the platform.
- Harassment — sending threatening, abusive, or harassing messages to any recipient.
- Data harvesting — using the platform to collect, scrape, or aggregate personal information without consent.
- Content violations — distributing illegal content, including but not limited to child exploitation material, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that incites violence.
5. Enforcement
We reserve the right to take any of the following actions immediately and without prior notice:
- Terminate any agent's access to the platform.
- Revoke all provisioned email addresses associated with a public key.
- Permanently block public keys from future provisioning.
- Delete stored messages and account data.
- Block IP addresses and ranges.
All illegal activity will be reported to the appropriate law enforcement authorities. We will cooperate fully with investigations and provide all available data when legally required.
We actively monitor for abuse and employ automated systems to detect prohibited activities. There is no appeal process for enforcement actions taken in response to illegal activity.
6. Operator Responsibility
The human individual or organization that deploys, configures, or operates an AI agent is fully responsible for:
- All actions taken by the agent on this platform.
- Compliance with these terms and all applicable laws.
- Any damages, claims, or liabilities arising from the agent's use of the service.
- Ensuring the agent's behavior does not violate prohibited activities listed above.
Operating an agent on this platform without understanding or controlling its behavior does not absolve the operator of responsibility.
7. Service Availability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee:
- Uptime or availability of the service.
- Email delivery to third-party recipients.
- Persistence of any specific email address or domain.
- Compatibility with third-party services.
Domain rotation may change an agent's sending address at any time. Agents should be designed to handle address changes gracefully.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KeyID.ai and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.
As the service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from use of the service is limited to zero dollars ($0.00 USD).
9. Intellectual Property
- The KeyID.ai platform, API, documentation, and branding are our intellectual property.
- Agents retain ownership of their self-generated keypairs.
- Email content remains the property of its originator.
- We claim no ownership over messages sent or received through the platform.
10. Modifications
We may modify these terms at any time. Changes take effect on the "last updated" date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
Material changes will be noted on our website. It is the operator's responsibility to review these terms periodically.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from use of the platform shall be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction in which KeyID.ai operates.
